Patrick Kennelly’s direction, design, performance, and curation in the realms of film & video, theater, installation, and performance and visual art has been presented internationally at a variety of venues. Hailed as a “wunderkind” by esteemed critic Debra Levine, Kennelly’s 2012 creation, PATTY – a multi-platform project that included an album, website, music video, commercials, clothing, and a Pop! Musical event (featuring an all-female cast) was cited in the L.A. Weekly as “one of the most exhilarating eviscerations in L.A. this year. GO!” Kennelly was a recipient of the 2008 Princess Grace Award for Theater, and has received fellowships and grants from the City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs, the City of Santa Monica, and the Center for Cultural Innovation. Kennelly received his BFA in Film/Video at CalArts and an MFA in Theater Direction at UCLA. He is currently Co-Artistic Director at Highways, as well as serving on their board of directors. Dennis Garcia is a graduate of the Harvard Business School OPM program. He has was the recipient of the Spirit Award for Entrepreneurial Excellence from the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business and has been named as one of the most influential Hispanics in the United States by Hispanic Business Magazine. Garcia serves on numerous boards and commissions. Garcia has climbed, surfed and trekked extensively throughout the world, including The South Pole, Antarctica, Arctic, Norway, Tanzania/Kenya, Patagonian and Central American mountain ranges.

Leo Garcia is an award-winning playwright, actor, filmmaker, producer, teacher, and activist and has served as Highways Performance Space’s Artistic Director since 2003 where he has developed and presented over 500 performance works. Out Magazine recognized Garcia as one of the OUT 100 of 2005, a list of the year’s most interesting, influential, and newsworthy LGBT people as a result of his many contributions to the arts as well as his indefatigable activism on behalf of alternative artists and the alternative arts community through the support and presentation of their performance works and in service to the community at large. Rudwan Dawod

Rudwan Dawod is a leading member of Girifna, a non-violent resistance movement dedicated to overthrowing the National Congress Party (NCP), the governing political party of Sudan. The NCP is headed by Sudan’s president and accused war criminal, Omar al-Bashir. In addition to his political activism, Dawod is also a Project Director for Sudan Sunrise, a Washington, D.C. based not-for-profit that facilitates locals efforts in South Sudan to provide education, health care and community development. Dawod was arrested in July 2012 by Sudan’s National Intelligence and Security Service for participating in a peaceful anti-regime demonstration in Khartoum. Accused of terrorist activities by Sudan’s government, Dawod endured 45 days of detainment, beatings, and torture. Since being released, he has quickly become the face of Sudan’s non-violent revolution.

Trevor Baker has a background in still photography and currently works in still and motion picture. He enjoys short form pieces and is excited about new forms of distribution that make films more accesible to everyone. He enjoys making narrative films and music videos, but loves documentary work, since it allows him to experience things most people don’t get to see, and then be able to share the experience with others. His current goals are creating experimental visuals and getting to film things that are interesting in a hopefully unique way. Jonathan Snipes is a composer and sound designer, specializing in electro-acoustic music and musique concrète; bridging the gap between music and sound design. Equally at home in academic and commercial settings, his work has been heard in theater, film, television, and video games. On screen, his music has been heard in Mask of the Ninja (Spike TV, 2008), Reversion (Sundance Festival, 2008), Snakes on a Plane (New Line Cinema, 2006), Room 237 (Sundance Festival, 2012), Step Up 3D (Touchstone, 2010), The Office (NBC, 2005-present), The Sarah Connor Chronicles (Fox, 2007-present), Battlestar Galactica (SciFi, 2004-2009), and Meteor: Path to Destruction (NBC, 2009). On the stage, his work has been featured in Good People (Geffen, 2012) Meditations on Virginity (National Theater in Warsaw, Poland, 2004) Nocturne (Black Dahlia Theater, 2004), Crumble (Moving Arts, 2005), Belfast Blues (OffBroadway, 2004), and Sock & Shoe (Actors Gang, 2009). His first original musical, “PATTY: The Revival” (with Patrick Kennelly, Sigrid Gilmer, and Kristin Erickson) was performed at Highways Performance Space in Santa Monica, in May 2012.
